TL;DR:
I was kicked off my Facebook account at the same time my movie turned foreign.
The email linked to my Facebook has had its number changed (wasn’t me) and I somehow recieved somebody else’s junk mail.
Okay so last night I was doing my usual stuff, watching a film, scrolling through Facebook. My Facebook said the session had expired and kicked me off. Distracted from my film by Facebook I didn’t notice that it was in a language foreign to my own – I was about 30 minutes into the film at this point so I would’ve noticed long before now that I couldn’t understand the film.
A bit dazed and confused I set on trying to recover my Facebook account. I logged into the email linked to my Facebook and noticed the number had been changed, I hadn’t done this so started to get a bit worried. This morning I was scrolling through said email folders trying to get the code from Facebook (it just isn’t coming through for some reason?) and noticed in the junk folder that I had recieved an email addressed to somebody else. I hadn’t been Cc’d into the conversation either, the email was from “Adult Dating” but seemed way too informal and was to “mac****@hotmail.co.uk” – my email could not be mistaken for this at all.
Ive been watching a lot of modern horror films lately where people’s WiFi get hacked and they do crazy shit and I’ve obviously convinced myself that’s what’s happening to me.
So please tell me I’m an idiot.
I have tried to attach a video of my suddenly foreign Princess Diaries and the email addressed to somebody else’s email but in my junk folder, if it is allowed could somebody please tell me how
