I just bought a new asus tuf laptop and did the sensible thing after a quick test and installed a clean version of win 10.
I expected the possibility of windows update installing something other than just drivers so i disabled it automatically downloading manufacturer apps. Although i was probably too late as they appeared after everything updated.
So this time i did a clean install with no wifi access and both disabled that and some registry key related to silent general app installs plus i disabled windows update starting for a week.
I even installed all necessary chipset and other drivers i got directly from amd etc so windows had no excuse to auto get anything at all.
So just before connecting the wifi i watched the process list which was all clean then within a minute of connecting the wifi i see like ten creepy asus services and armoury crate running and a myasus app auto installed as well from windows store!
Asus have no right to force install bloatware like a trojan that does who knows what. Disgusting and should be illegal!
How do i block this rubbish as there’s no bios option like i read with asus motherboards and armoury crate?
