I am thinking of posting this in /r/assholedesign but want to make sure it’s not just a coincidence. I got a notification showing that an update was available and at the time I was watching a YouTube video but as soon as that notification showed, the video started buffering. While I waited for it to stop, I was talking on Discord and it worked fine, but when I came back it still lagged. My computer wasn’t lagging, just my browser (Opera GX). I opened Speedtest just to make sure but somehow it was too laggy to even open Speedtest. Nothing in browser was working properly! I switched to Chrome and got the same thing. Mozilla, same. So I decided to restart my PC, now forgetting about the update, and the update started. I just left it, but when it finished, I remembered what the update was going to be for… Microsoft Edge! Because Microsoft Edge has been updated to use Chromium recently. It was automatically pinned to start, my taskbar and added to my desktop and it opened up promoting how fast it was. Seems… very suspicious. Anybody else got this? (I should note that all my other browsers do now work fine since the restart)
Did anyone else start having lag in all browsers as soon as Windows started pushing the latest update?
