So I work remotely and have to use my personal laptop to remote into a work desktop. I have a VPN on my personal laptop to do this, and I believe for the first time I’ve accidentally left it on while searching for porn (embarrassingly it was hentai, the VPN did not block or catch the nhentai website so I browsed for about 5 minutes or so) and googled a couple other known hentai sites. Finally, the secure search pop up came up while in incognito mode and it dawned on me the VPN was on. I’m freaking out, I realize that the IT team can 99% see what I was doing but I’m just stressed I’m going to lose my job or be confronted about it. I did not do this on company time, just accidentally left it on. I’m freaking out internally.
I accessed porn while on my personal computer with my companies VPN still on
